The Eastern Woodland head dress is a traditional

Native American Indian artifact that originates with

the Northeastern American Indians. Each and every

feather is hand selected, crafted and hand sewn

upon a base to create a unique and one of a kind

creation. The unique design of these artifacts are  the

result of a collaborative effort of Pocahontas Cooley

and a local Traditional Eastern Wood land artist.

Although these Traditional Eastern Woodland head dresses may at first  appearance may appear similar in likeness, no two head dresses are exactly alike, each feather is unique and different from the next.

The uniqueness of the feathers makes each creation a work of distinctive beauty that stands on its own. These traditional eastern woodland head dresses add  exquisite beauty to any collection, office or home décor.

Please note that the head dresses that you are viewing on this page are finished products which resulted from hours of intense labor that was created by the artists.  To create an item such as this takes over 3,500 hours of intense labor to gather, individually select, match and size and colors of the feathers, select, prepare, hand cut, and attach the leather to the head base, and individually hand wrap sinew to the feathers, and hand sew each and every feather individually to the head base.

The asking price for this head dress  barely covers the artists time and materials to make the item. A letter of authenticity and signatures of the artists comes with the purchase of this item.
